Charity

Charity is a case of poor people in rich countries giving to rich people in poor countries!

BUT, much of it does and on the day of judgement we will be judged according to our giving and not our misgivings! If only 50p in the £1 gets through to a starving child it will still have been a magnificent act of love! Amen. And remember, GOD is LOVE.

Is the 'Kingdom of God' based on Hate or Love?

Think on this;  If God had hated the World He would have brought it to an early conclusion long ago.  But rather He sees some hope in us and offers us a way back to him.  How?

Love & Sacrifice

For God so loved the World that he gave His only son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

Those who fire bullets and loose off bombs in the name of God do not understand sacrifice. If God wanted bombers he would have intervened in this world by now and stopped the evil that exists here. Those who bomb in 'God's name' have never known Him. The Sacrifice God makes is to allow us to continue to live in His world. He expects the same sacrifice from us - to allow others to continue to live in His world. May God be praised for ever and for ever. Amen.

I think that I shall never see a poem lovely as a tree.  A tree whose hungry mouth is prest against the earth's sweet flowing breast; A tree that looks at God all day, and lifts her leafy arms to pray;   A tree that may in Summer wear a nest of robins in her hair;  Upon whose bosom snow has lain who intimately lives with rain.  Poems are made by fools like me, but only God can make a tree.

One thing religion speaks of that is irrefutable is the conception of good and evil, This concept exists within the Universe and is independent of religion. It's existence is undeniable!  Religion is really about this one concept, 'good and evil' and If a religion teaches evil then it does not understand the basis on which the Universe stands.  God represents all that is good. Satan represents all that is evil. To teach evil is to be with Satan.

A woman's place in society is and has, through the ages, been determined by strength and brute force not by justice and a fair deal!  A man is master because he is stronger. But God does not champion the strong but the weak.

THE fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good. The LORD has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there are any who understand, Who seek after God. There they are in great dread, For God is with the righteous generation.   You would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted, But the LORD is his refuge. (See also Romans c3 v10-13) We do not come to church because we are good, far from it! Rather, we come to church because we would be good where we able! We choose good (God) over evil (Satan) and whatever else we are - WE ARE SAVED - because we call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus).
